I do not know the desert.
Twisted rock outcroppings
And cacti keeping company
With sidewinders and baying coyotes.
No man wants to tread those sands,
So no lights blot out night's Milky bands.
I imagine there's an old peace
Settling upon that sun-baked land
That cares not for the passings of man.
