I remember the suffocation nightmares - imagining myself falling into a deep pit of decaying leaves on the roof of Jester Center.... Unable to breathe, unable to move... screaming at myself to wake up and snap out of it.
When I awake, I'm in a twisted up position in my bed, with my mouth buried in my pillow.
I wonder if this compares with a sleep apnea experience, when one stops breathing while sleeping and the body can't restart the breathing.
