As the TV blares in the background,
With no one there to watch it,
It feels so lonely
Because it used to give us
A false sense of company...
Now, it's all puffed-up nonsense
Spreading across the news,
Because our attention -
It does not want to lose...
The box plays on as we sleep,
Because we want to tune out
Our family fights, so deep...
Because it used to protect us
From being socially awkward...?
