beware self-criticism.
on the one hand, it could be pointing to valid things and values that NEED to be changed... on the other hand, it could be just 'playing for sympathy'
I've lost count of how many times I've ALMOST posted pessimistic status updates, but backed out, thinking "They don't want to hear THAT..." (I must admit, some still got posted)
