"We will be able to look the world in the eye."
For some reason, I thought this was referring to when I'm speaking. Maybe that's the case with facts I'm sure of, and already have a succinct explanation for... Like when I'm trying to gauge if a student is understanding a tutoring lesson.
However, I also think this ties back to conversation, in that I usually look away if I'm not finished with my speech/thoughts. It's not that I'm afraid to say them - it's that I'm "unwilling to yield the floor"
However, I may not be the best example of body language cues via gaze...
I'm wondering: do you look at your audience when you're ready to speak?
