So, I went to an AA meeting. I raised my hand to share, and was never called on to share. Nobody engaged me in long conversation, just a handful of short hellos, after the meeting ended. I even got skipped in line by a guy, waiting to use the restroom...
By this point, I was thinking of yelling out, "Fuck you AA's, and Fuck your cliques!" (I didn't though)
I am glad that I got to talk a little with a friend after that mental tantrum, on the way out of the meeting. I kind of wish we had talked more, though.
Ironically..? The topic of meeting was "Laying aside your prejudice about what spiritual terms mean, and what spirituality looks like..." (pg. 47, I think)
